Eid ! :(
When I say I hate Eid everybody just look at me like I said something unacceptable.
we/ I don’t feel Eid spirit anymore or let’s just say I have never felt Eid spirit they are talking about. Eid is all about love, kinship, forgiving and other lovely adjectives I don’t see, feel or hear in my Eids !
MY Eid is all about:
1- SHOWING OFF: You feel that you are watching a commercial channel, its fun at the beginning but then it starts to become annoying and boring. The worst thing is that you can’t change the channel because it’s not on TV!! It’s real and you are stuck with it !
2- settling old family scores: some families only meet in Eids so it’s the best time to settle scores and fight ! (Caught you! We need to talk) prepare your speech of revenge with your clothes.
3- The crowd: everybody wants to go out like they have never ever gone out before. Most of the times you end up upset, having a fight or food poisoning.
4- Feeling lonely: If you have no friends – no family – no loved ones, it’s the best time in the year to weep on your self and feel how lonely you are!!

Stafkurallah people how can you say that ???… Your problem isnt the holiday itself, since you have lost the intended meanings for celebrations, but because you cant find anything to do, or because it is so much different to celebrate here in the states rather than over seas. Think about the meaning Inshallah and you may feel different and maybe Inshallah it may make you closer to your lord.. May Allah make it easier for you and bring all the good of this world to you all on these special day brought to us from Allah and His Prophets..Salam wa alaikum brothers and sisters.
